GIBBARD RZ is a dark green multi-leaf lettuce of the butterhead type. It is suitable for salatrio, high density and whole head production. GIBBARD RZ is less heading and for that reason it performs better in a salatrio. The plant habit is a bit more upright and the leaves have a small cut surface at high density. As a wholehead this variety is later filling.
Gibbard is a Salanova® variety. With just one cut at the base, Salanova lettuce separates into multiple evenly proportioned, ready-to-eat, leaves. Salanova® lettuce have up to three times more useable leaves than traditional lettuce.
