Chain Projects under the Spotlight

Through chain management we pool the power and knowledge of the entire chain and use in projects.  The projects come in three distinct types: commodities, niche products and product concepts.  Attention points in our chain projects are crop recording, quality and harvesting forecasting.  On the market side of the chain we are involved with concepts, processing and packaging.
Transparency is becoming increasingly important in the food-producing chain.  Rijk Zwaan offers its IKZ certification system to growers, merchants and supermarkets and assists its customers in gaining this certificate.  The IKZ certificate distinguishes itself in that it certificates the entire chain.  Only groups which have been passed by the independent certification authority Ecas receive the IKZ certificate.
