The first C. sativus (cucumber) rootstock with resistance to Fusarium - (For). 64-50 RZ can be used in temperate areas on substrate. The variety is not suited as rootstock for melon or watermelon. 64-50 RZ has no resistance to Phomopsis, nematods or Pythium, and in this case is weaker than rootstock Azman. 64-50 RZ is easy to graft due to the same veein structure in both rootstock and scion. No hollow stems are found.
The production on substrate is comparable to non-grafted. Only at the end of the culture the long enduance is recognisable.
