Tourima RZ is a new variety which aims to compliment Sonsma RZ. Maturity is around 5 days slower than Sonsma RZ but it has a narrower base and grows taller making it more suitable for pre packing. Taste is excellent and internal fill is good. It is disease resistant like Sonsma RZ.

Marcello RZ is now a well established green / white 80 to 90 days variety. It can be overwintered as a plant under glass and sequentially planted to give continuity throughout the summer. Mature in around 120 to 150 days, Futurima RZ is a round / oval red processing cabbage variety with head weights up to 5kg. It is a vigorous varitety producing large, dense dark red heads with a short internal core. Field standing ability is good with moderate cold storage ability (end March).

Redma RZ is an early red fresh market / processing variety mature in 100 – 110 days. It is a vigorous variety with a good head shape and intense dark red colour. It can be grown at high density (50 – 60,000 / ha) for pre-pack but will also achieve processing head weights (3kg) when planted at low density 25 – 30,000 / ha.

Rodima RZ is a dual purpose red variety. It can be grown for both pre-pack (high density 50 – 70,000/ha) or processing (low density 25 – 30,000/ha). Storage is excellent both in field and in cold stores where it can stored until July. It matures after 140 days producing typically “high round” balloon shaped heads with good internal layering.

Mucsuma RZ is a new high yielding round / balloon type of white cabbage suitable for long term storage (July). Mature after 135 to 150 days it produces a finely smooth neatly layered internal structure suitable for the processing industry. Ideal plant density is 25 – 40,000 / ha where it will yield heads with weights ranging from 2 – 5 kg.

Sonsma RZ is a smooth pointed cabbage maturing 50-65 days after transplanting. What sets this variety apart is its extremely sweet taste and excellent internal colour. It is not a classic “pointed” shape making it more suitable for bagging rather than free flow wrapping.

Jetma RZ is suited to early freshmarket ‘primo’ cabbage production. It matures in 53-55 days, producing a round, green 1 - 2 kg head. Standing ability is good and the variety has proven to have good partial resistance to bolting.

Toughma RZ has two distinct places in the UK market, as a green “primo” cabbage which can be cut throughout the summer but also as a first early Dutch White type, where it is one of the earliest varieties on the market. It matures 10 days earlier than Marcello RZ, 70-80 days after transplanting. It produces round solid compact heads, which mature around 1 kilo ideal for either the white or green market. It stands well with good resistance to splitting and can be used in a continuity programme all summer long.

Kalorama RZ is a traditional Dutch white cabbage. It has a round dark green head with a short internal core. Long-term cold storage (July approx) is enhanced by its intermediate disease resistance. Storema RZ is a new Dutch white cabbage developed for especially long storage. Mature in 130-150 days it is slightly larger than Kalorama RZ with an oval head, good uniformity and attractive dark green colour which is maintained even after long cold storage. Cilema RZ is the fastest maturing processing white cabbage variety from Rijk Zwaan. It matures 75 days after transplanting with head weights around 3 - 3.5 kg. The head is an attractive fresh green colour with little anthocyanin under stress conditions.

Margot RZ is a new Christmas savoy cabbage. It is a slow growing variety producing small, compact, dense dark green heads with finely blistered leaves. Suitable for harvest from October to March, weather permitting. It has proven in 2009 / 10 to be extremely winter hardy and makes ideal pre packs when planted at densities around to 40 to 45,000 / ha.
